Why Vulcovir
-
What it is
It is a technical-elastomeric material endowed with antibacterial and antiviral properties though keeping the typical characteristics of rubber unchanged. Say: elasticity, softness and adaptability to surfaces.
It was created to prevent from the spreading of viruses and pathogens.
-
How it works
The additive attacks the external envelope of the infecting agent which is deposited on the surface and neutralizes it.
Viruses and bacteria cannot either survive or proliferate getting into contact with it.
There is no need to clean the surface or to cleanse it.
-
How quickly it takes effect
Sars-Cov-2 colonies are 90% killed within 5 minutes after direct contact with the rubber surface.
Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli are completely neutralized within 12 hours.
The analyses were carried out by testing the material which had much higher viral and bacterial loads than those of an infected person.
-
How to use it
Vulcovir is extremely simple to use: just place it on the surface you want to protect and it acts without any external intervention.
It is also a washable material.
By means of an electron microscope, a prestigious Italian University has shown that after 10 intense alcohol washes, the concentration of the additive on the surface is still 85% of the initial value.

The research studies were managed by two different and independent laboratories, not connected to each other and both accredited according to the standard: UNI CEI EN ISO / IEC 17025.
I test sono stati effettuati secondo le seguenti norme:
The tests were performed according to the following standards: ISO standard 22196: 2011 "Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces", which demonstrated the antibacterial nature of the tested material against Escherichia Coli (Gram negative) and Staphylococcus Aureus (Gram positive).
ISO 21702: 2019 standard "Measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces", which demonstrated the antiviral nature of the material tested against Sars- CoV-2.
In which contexts it is fit?
Vulcovir is meant for places where many different people get into contact with the same surface.
